Hi,my name is Anil Prasad. I'm from Kerala, India.
I strongly believe that Online Open Distance Learning is the real promise for the future of Higher Education. I also understand the need for networking Educators all over the world for the success of this great Teaching and Learning Freedom Movement.
I find time to this voluntary social service, by the creative use of my holidays and out of office hours.
For sustained inspiration I keep on asking me the question "What would have been the destiny of human beings if the people discovered/identified/popularized the use of Fire and Wheel had taken IPR for that?" <smile>
I am also a Wikipedian since July 2007 and recently took the initiative of WOLA ,a proposal to establish a "WikiEducator Community College".

I have passed the national eligibility test to teach at colleges and secondary level.I have worked as a teacher educator and trainer at teacher training college,giving lectures in educational psychology at graduate level.I am also tutoring A level students in UK.I also have an experience of teaching K 12 section and would like to get to know about the recent changes in the higher education scenario. Iam Joseph Chandy,an Instrumentation engineer.Iam 22years of old.I completed my high school education from Chinmaya Vidhalaya and higher secondary education from S.K.M.H.S.S ,Kumarakom.I completed my B.tech degree from college of engineering ,Kidangoor.I lives in kumarakom(a very beautiful village in God's on country,Kerala).My father's name is K.J.Chandy.He works as a machine operator in Travancore Cements Ltd.My mother's name is Aleyamma Chandy.She is a house wife.I had a younger brother and a sister.Iam running an ACADEMY ,named as M.B.S Academy.In this academy,we take tution for 10,plus one,plus two students for science subjects.

I like teaching mathematics.I had worked in many educational institution.Teaching is my passion and sharing of inbuilt knowledge in us.So,I likes way of wikieducator,it shares our knowledge to the entire world.It also help to reinforce our knowledge. I am impressed by the course and expect to be on the fast track soon. I am also impressed by the dedication of the facilitators and by the simplicity with which the course is being administered.

Dear All

I am P T John (Plavunkal Thomas John), a Professional Engineer 73 years young, with University Degrees  in Mechanical Engineering and in Physics,  succeeded by over 35 years of experience primarily in Oil & Gas Process Engineering with major Oil  Companies abroad. In  1998, in compliance with the corporate policy, I had to retire at the prime age of 60  as Senior Operations Engineer from ARAMCO (Arabian American Oil Company) after a challenging  25-year-old  career with the high tech Oil Giant. The job involved leading a multinational team of Engineers, mentoring and training of new Engineers, coordination of team activities, computer simulations, technical studies and presentations. 

We, myself and my only wife Alice (although she alleges that I have a second wife, Computer, stealing away most of my time from her), chose Kochi (Cochin), the vibrant nerve centre of Kerala as our retirement home. With the increasing  support in all spheres of activities, computer and now the Smart Phone keep me well egaged  during my retired life, while my wife is happy continuing her  leisurely engagement in stitchery. I also share my time as a Cabinet Member of Lions Clubs International District 324-E-4,  Advisor to an upcoming speciality  hospital, and President of  a local group of NRI(Returnees). We have two children, a son and a daughter both married and away from home.
 

The situation started changing when I happened to see a newspaper advertisement which beckoned me to a workshop  which could fit in very  well with my normal activity and expertise. That was the day I met the dynamic Wiki Facilitator and Trainer Mr. Sebastian Panakal. The WikiEducator programme fell in line with me and Mr. Sebastian gave me the opportunity to handle part of the  subsequent one-day face-to-face introductory session  (Days 1-4) of the currently ongoing WikiEducator course. I am impressed by the course and expect to be on the fast track soon. I am also impressed by the dedication of the facilitators and by the simplicity with which the course is being administered.

Fellow participants, let us strive to be the best students as well as the best teachers.

I am Ms.Jaya from India. I am a language trainer presently working for a private engineering college in Chennai. I am interested in using technology for language teacher. I am interested in using wikis, blogs and moodle platform. I have a wiki workspace which I use as CMS/LMS where around 90 students are registered users.

Hi, I'm Kristina Hollis and I'm from Sydney, Australia. Iam currently working as an Online Education Designer for Macquarie University. I love learning new things all the time and interacting with other professionals so that's why I'm here. I have done the Open Education Resource online conference on WikiEducator earlier this year and just finished a MOOC on CourseSites called Instructional Ideas and Technology Tools for Online Success, run by Dr Curtis Bonk. I have definitely got a lot out of these experiences and often blog about these courses whilst I go through the material. Looking forward to this experience.

Just a bit of background info, I was a secondary Music teacher for just over four years before my current job and in my current job I am working most of the time with the LMS Moodle. I love Moodle and think it is one of the best LMS systems out there today.

I'm Janvier Nkurunziza,currently working and studying(MA Educational Technology) in the UK,but I'm originally from Burundi [2],the heart of Africa. I'm a teacher of English and French as Second Language and life long learner(I have a burning hunger and thirst for knowledge which is why I have turned a Moodle facilitator). In my free time, I literally 'sleep and live ' on Moodle, an open source virtual learning environment that I have learned to use by myself before I enrol to online Moodle courses[Integrated Technology for Life Long Learning,http://www.integrating-technology.org/] by Dr Dr. Nellie Deutsch). In my spare time)(holidays),I travel to facilitate(free of charge)face-to-face Moodle training courses(Moolde for teachers) in Africa(Burundi,DR Congo, an Rwanda). My goal is to share knowledge and learn new things so that less fortunate people across the world who can't afford education for various reasons, can learn and share with others through technology affordances(no matter their backgrounds).I believe educational resources need to be free for children and adults across the world to afford education, a key to intellectual,social and economic development(particularly in Africa).Together, we can make it happen by sharing knowledge freely.That's why I'm here today.

I would like to reproduce the superhit dialogues of Shahrukh khan from ‘Om Shanti Om’ i.e. ‘kehte hai agar kisi cheez ko dil se chaaho toh poori kaynath tumhein usse milane ki koshish mein lag jaati hai... means that if you have a really strong desire to achieve something, then the whole universe itself will help you in obtaining that desire. I would like to believe, we all have a desire and Wiki, our facilitators, are helping us to reach the desire.. Fortunately or unfortunately what the contradiction is there are some negative energies which will dissuade us from reaching the goal… In my case laziness stands prior in the list… Hope I will soon remove the barrier from my path… and expect to be on the track expeditiously…

Currently I am working with Sacred Heart C.M.I Public School, Thevara, Cochin as a mathematics teacher in its senior secondary. This year 2012 marks my 12th year in teaching career as a mathematics teacher. I am married to Mr. Jos Martin L.X. is a contemporary fine artist, residing at cochin. We have a son named Karol who is studying in his IInd Grade.I reside at Thevara with my family. I am aiming for Juniour Research Fellowship in Education. My passion is teaching.
