Sharing resources

Hi Lorraine, I am training to teach IT in high schools, currently teaching in adult education.  I think it would be great if more teachers shared resources!  Don't know about the running bit though... :D Kylie.

(Comment.gif: Hi Kylie. I like the idea of a recycling group I belong too - to get into the group you have to give something away, after that you can take as much as you like... It stops people from just being observers and helping themselves to others' stuff without contributing. -Lorraine)

Hi Lorraine, I am a Queenslander and it was disappointing to hear that so many essential collaboration tools are blocked by MEd. I am really enjoying using the Google Apps for my own professional learning and for professional learning with our staff. I hope to change our school email addresses to Gmail addresses soon so that students can collaborate more with eachother and teachers through Google Apps. LMS don't seem to reach the level of the Google Apps yet. Maybe they will by the time I return to Queensland in a few years. Brad

Hi Brad, yes it is very frustrating. I have to organise to 'work from home' periodically so that I can visit blocked sites on my home computer in order to do my job! I work in a distance education setting and we have been fighting for over a year now to get Skype so that we can contact our overseas students. No luck.

Dear Lorraine,

I am Revathi Viswanathan, working as an Associated Professor in B.S.Abdur Rahman University. Your page is quite interesting to read, particularly the course modules and the page on 'quoll'. They are comprehensive and provide lot of input. I am also interested in working on collaborative projects.

Thanks, Revathi. I come into work an hour early each day to participate in this WkikEducator course. Learning lots and I'd like to see how it will benefit my students. On my 'list to do' is to see a spotted-tailed quoll in the wild! Lorraine
