Hi, I'm Catherine Cronin -- educator, researcher and PhD candidate at the National University of Ireland, Galway. My work focuses on openness and open education, digital identities, and social media in education. I'm currently working towards a PhD in the area of open educational practices in higher education. I've been an educator for many years, using open educational practices to work with students, educators and others in open web spaces. I was an active partner in #icollab (2011-2015), a networked community of practice of students and educators in seven countries. iCollab reflections and work can be found in many places on the web, e.g. iCollab Google+ community,iCollab blog, iCollab student-staff Twitter chat, digital identities Twitter chat, and the CT231 #icollab student showcase, as well as in the following papers:
