This brief video provides an introduction to the idea of a correlation, a concept that is critical to your understanding of the material you will encounter in the remaining two micro-courses. Once you finish watching the video, try to draw a scatter plot that depicts the correlation between the performance of a class of university students on a final exam and some other variable that you believe would be positively related to this (e.g., hours spent studying for the final exam). Next, try to draw a scatter plot that depicts the correlation between final exam performance and some other variable that you believe would be negatively related to this (e.g., hours spent playing video games during the week of the final exam).
