View Julian Treasure’s TEDGlobal 2013 talk: How to speak so that people want to listen [9:58 min]. In this video, Treasure identifies common negative interaction habits that create communication barriers, such as gossiping, complaining, and judging. He suggests responding with honesty, authenticity, integrity, and and wishing people well instead, to develop more effective communication. He also demonstrates vocal coaching exercises to help raise awareness and control of voice tone.
