About Myself

I am Tazeen Mahmood, teaching analytical chemistry and biochemistry in the Department of Chemistry in Kirori Mal College. I joined this college in July 1987. I started my teaching career at V.P. Chest Institute, University of Delhi in 1983.I have experience in Developing Undergraduate curriculum and syllabi.

Educational Qualifications

I have done my schooling from St. Thomas' School in Delhi.I did B.Sc.(Hons) in chemistry in 1972, M.Sc. in Biochemistry in 1974 and did my Ph.D. in Medical Biochemistry under the supervision of Dr. V.N.Singh, Department of Biochemistry,V.P.Chest Institute, University of Delhi.

My Hobbies

I like to read my books in free time. I like to reading biographies, history and classics.Majority of the books I read are in English but I also read books in Hindi and Urdu. Nowadays ebooks are available on the internet on various sites like gutenberg. These sites also have books that are not easily available today. I also like listening to music.I am also keen to learn about the history and culture of other countries. Besides going to a number of places in India I have traveled to, Greece,Turkey, Italy, China, Malaysia and USA as a tourist and interacted with people there. One of my childhood fantasy was to walk on the Great wall of China and see the Greek monuments.I would also like to visit Egypt, Spain and Morocco.
