Hello my name is Jeanine Jenkins from Chicago, Illinois (USA). Before I started college, I ran into difficulty in getting a job because of the demand for degrees. What was interesting was the fact that I manage to get employment a little faster before achieving a degree. As with most college students, I could not decide what I wanted to major in so I went with hospitality management. One of the biggest mistakes I made was not taking advantage of the networking opportunities available to me. During my sophomore year in college, I was offered a position in my field with the Marriott Hotel. The catch was if I took the job, I would not be able to finish my degree. So I turned down the offer to finish my degree assuming that opportunity will be back to greet me again. I was definitely wrong. After receiving my Bachelor's, I had a terrible time in finding work. When 911 hit so did my field. Going to job fairs, I then realized that my degree was not marketable enough. So, I decided to get my MBA. I felt with this degree I will be more marketable and not just restricted to one area. After the MBA degree still no job. I then decided that I wanted to go into teaching being unsure in whether to pursue a PhD I decided a 2nd Master's in Adult Education and Training. Even when I go to job fairs I am now no longer under the under qualified file. I am now under the over qualified file. My heart is still for teaching others. I said enough is enough I will create my own opportunity. So, now I have my own document creations and tutoring business in helping children to adults in reaching their fullest potential.

My professional long-term goal is to hopefully secure employment in higher education.

Personal

I enjoy utilizing various Web 2.0 tools in being able to keep up with family, friends and colleagues through Skype, Facebook, and WiZiQ. Sometime this year, I want to begin writing my biography.
