Haydn Blackey

Haydn is the Head of the Centre of Excellence in Learning and Teaching at the University of South Wales.

In that role Haydn is responsible for developing and delivering the institutional Learning, Teaching and Widening Access Strategy

Haydn and the team in CELT are responsible for learning and teaching enhancement at the University, providing staff development to academic staff and leading the development of pedagogic research and practice. CELT is also responsible for the Technology Enhanced Learning at the University focussed on enhancing the student experience through the use of TEL in on-campus delivery and the development of online programmes, including a partnership with the OERu.

Haydn’s research focus is the Scholarship of Learning and Teaching and specifically how Technology can enhance Learning and Teaching. In 2013 Haydn was Chair of the Association of Learning Technology Conference and is currently a member of the organising committee for the OER14 conference.
