About me

Rendering my service as Programme Officer at Commonwealth Educational Media Centre for Asia, New Delhi. Prior to this, I served KKHSOU as the Deputy Director (Multimedia), in the rank of Associate Professor with the charge of the Dept. of Mass Communication at Krishna Kanta Handiqui State Open University. I was also working as the Station Manager of Jnan Taranga 90.4 FM, KKHSOU Community radio which is the first community radio service in the entire north eastern region of the country and e-Jnan Taranga, the first web radio of the region. Before joining at KKHSOU in 2007 I rendered my service to Gauhati University, Guwahati as a Lecturer in Mass Communication and MCSC, Cotton College as its founder Course Coordinator. I have completed my Masters in Mass Communication from Visva Bharati, Santiniketan and my second master degree in Political Science from Gauhati University, M. Phil in Folk media from Gauhati University, PhD on Conflict and Media. I have also pursued a research at York University, Toronto, Canada for a period of one and half months.
