Parameters

  • 1 = the id of the quiz. This is necessary so more than one quiz can be added to a page
  • 2 = spelling list that uses the underscore tags (<u></u>) to indicate the answers.
  • Instructions = the instructions for the learner to follow
  • ExtraChars = {true/false} to load a template with special accented characters for languages other than English.
  • caution = {true/false} sets the input boxes to light orange if the learner leaves the box before the word is complete (ie few characters than the correct answer). Reminds them to return to complete the word. Useful, if special characters are needed as the learner currently needs to navigate away from the box.

Marking

  • Green indicates correct
  • Red indicates incorrect
  • Orange indicates that too few characters have been entered when the user moved out of the input box (when the parameter 'caution' is set to true).

Usage

The following syntax {{Quiz Visual Spelling|myid| #<u>This is a être</u>. #<u>This</u> is a second <u>mangé</u>. |Instructions=Enter the bold words or phrases from the list in the answer boxes. |ExtraChars=true }}
