I created this space in order to facilitate dialog between pre-service and in-service English language educators in Aguascalientes, Mexico and beyond as to how we can better create educative experiences for the English language learner.

Day 1 (May 18, 2009)
Activities:
1. Enter the forum in the TEACH ning and answer the followings questions:
- Where are you originally from?
- What do you want most out of this workshop?
- What has to happen in order for this workshop to be a success?
- What is something interesting about yourself?
2. Essential questions (answer at least one and respond to at least one other post):
- How would you define a blog?
- How, when, why, or to whom are blogs helpful in language learning? How, when, why, or to whom are blogs not helpful?
- What are some of your favorite blogs? What makes them your favorite?

Week 2 (May 11-17)
Activities:
Take a look at the different wikis available: wikipedia, wikipedia selection for schools, wikieducator, wikiversity, wikibooks, wikisource, meta-wiki, wikiquote, wikispecies, and wikinews.
Essential Questions
- In your own words, how would you express the advantages and disadvantages of using a wiki?
- How, when, why, and to whom are wikis most appropriate in the language learning classroom?
- What are some of your favorite wikis and why?
- Share a past experience where you have or could have used a wiki. What were (or could have been) your objectives and what evidence (assessment-elicited inference) provides a basis for evaluating whether or not your students achieved those objectives? Explain whether the wiki facilitated the assessment process or not.
