Otago Polytechnic/Measuring our open education/User Guide

3 Things need to happen now:

1. We get the report on the video ethnographic study
2. We collect the data on the various open education trials we ran (Flexible learning, Facilitating Online) such as participation rates, completion rates (of formally enrolled), articukation rates of informal to formal, etc.
3. We prepare a structure for the user guide, based on what we already have at hand, and edit into a "User Guide". Something like this:

Recommendations

• Otago Polytechnic: An IP policy for the times - Probably change this into a narative, with the actual policy as an appendix
• Use of popular internet in teaching and research - make transcript for print version
• Redirecting marketing budgets into OER production - contextualise for this book
• Putting in place incentives and rewards (like the Research incentives) for staff practicing open education - Leigh to write
• 4 Models for open education - Make transcript for print

Conclusion

• A review by Otago Polytechnic's CEO - Terry to ask Phil when all this is done
