Introductions

Patricia Helijet.jpg
Hi, my name is Patricia Schlicht and I have been working with and for Dr. Wayne Mackintosh as the WikiEducator Learning4Content Coordinator and Community Builder on Wikieducator.

I have gained extensive knowledge in open and distance learning (ODL) and technology-mediated learning since 2000 when I started working in the industry. I was introduced to the concept of Free/Libre Open Education in eLearning in May 2006 through Dr. Wayne Mackintosh, the founder of WikiEducator. I have since become an avid WikiEducator and online facilitator for our Learning4Content workshops and are very much involved in promoting WikiEducator and building capacity in the global communities. I am actively monitoring and evaluating WikiEducator activities, among the many other activities I am involved in, building a sustainable global network of WikiEducators. Feel free to visit my page, to leave me comments--Patricia Schlicht 18:58, 13 August 2009 (UTC)

Hi. My name is Debbie Bridge I am currently working within the DEHub (Distance Education Hub) at the University of New England in Australia. The DEHub is a government funded research project designed to promote best practice and research in Distance Education. The DEHub team is planning to utilise WikiEducator in doing this. I am filling an administrative role within the project and hope to gain an understanding of how this space is used and obtain the practical skills that will assist the project in utilising the site. I am quite new to online learning, but looking forward to gaining knowledge and participating in some of the technology that DEHub is promoting. --Dbridge2 01:29, 17 September 2009 (UTC)

Friends, my name is Sebastian Panakal. I joined WE so that I can enrol as many educators and teachers from my state Kerala, India into WikiEducator.org. The most literate state in India, Kerala has a lot of untapped talent WE could use. I am an ICT Trainer. I run an Akshaya e Centre, one of the 3200 plus ICT centres run by the Government of Kerala, India to give ICT access to the poor and forestall the digital divide. As a Social Activist, I intend to train face to face or online classes to facilitate as many people as possible onto this project. I simply love the idea of WE.

I have attended an English class of Nellie and discovered how music can be used to teach English. IMHO, she is a wonderfully creative teacher with an emotional resonance with students! I'm also a member of some groups of NING community - Sebastian Panakal, September 24, 2009.

Like everyone at WE, I am committed to this glorious project.
