The objectives of this sections are

  • to list the five elements of instructional design model
  • to explain the meaning of each element

This section is pertaining to the basic concept of instructional design

Instructional design involves Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation, or better known as ADDIE.

Analysis
Analysis is the first phase of any instructional design process.
There are several analysis that need to be conducted at this stage, they include
Needs Assessment
Goal Analysis
Task Analysis
Learner Analysis
Context Analysis
Design
Design is the second phase of any instructional design process.
It involves identifying the learning objectives, assessment instruments as well as the instructional strategies to be applied in the instruction
Development
Development is the third phase of any instructional design process.
This phase concerns on the development or authoring of the instruction. It also involves the formative evaluation of the instruction while it is being developed.

Implementation
Implementation is the fourth phase of any instructional design process.
This phase concerns on the implementation of the instruction in the real world, and it should be carried out only after the material has been validated through formative evaluation.
Evaluation
Evaluation is the last phase of any instructional design process.
This phase concerns on evaluating the effectiveness of the instruction after the instruction, and thus, it is also referred to as Summative Evaluation
