July 3rd and 4th, 2009 - Maraa will be hosting a two day workshop titled "Conceptual Clarity on Community Radio" with COL as a supporting partner. About 20 volunteers from various non profit agencies from all over Karnataka will be participating.

May 8-22 May 2009 - World Summit on the Information Society, International Telecommunications Union, in Geneva, Switzerland. Brought to our attention by Al-Amin Yusuph, of UNESCO-Tanzania.
April
- April 26-30 - AMARC (World Association of Community Broadcasters) Annual Conference in Ivory Coast, Africa. Commonwealth of Learning will be hosting two 1-day workshops at the conference, in a new initiative called LearnShare HIV AIDS Africa (comprised of community media practitioners and experts in HIV AIDS Treatment Literacy. Partners include COL, International AIDS Society and EcoNews Africa.
