OVERVIEW

THE FOCUS OF THIS PROJECT IS TO UNDERSTAND CLASSROOM PRACTICES.

AIMS

  • TO DEVELOP A THEORETICAL FRAMEWORK TO UNDERSTAND CLASSROOM PRACTICES.
  • TO UNDERSTAND AND LEARN FROM CLASSROOM INTERACTIONS.
  • TO PROVE TO STUDENTS THAT MISTAKES MADE TEACH MORE THAN IS EXPECTED.--Dkwikidiscover 13:22, 25 June 2008 (UTC)

PROJECT PLAN

THE TEACHER IS REQUIRED TO BE AN ACTIVE PARTICIPANT IN THE TEACHING LEARNING PROCESS.SHE MOVES FROM THE STEROTYPE IMAGE OF BEING THE ONE WHO TEACHES TO THE ONE WHO LEARNS WHILE TEACHING.FOR EXAMPLE IN A MATHEMATICS CLASSROOM THE FOCUS IS NOT ON THE CORRECT ANSWER BUT ON THE WRONG ANSWER .THE TEACHER IN THIS CASE OBSERVES THE PROCESS INVOLVED AND DEVELOPS THE CONCEPTUAL STRUCTURE OF THE CONCEPT FOR THE CHILD. THE INTERACTIONS IN THE CLASSROOM HAVE TO BE DOCUMENTED AND A JOURNAL HAS TO BE MANTAINED . STUDENTS SHOULD BE ENCOURAGED TO MAKE AS MANY MISTAKES AS POSSIBLE IN CLASS WITHOUT BEING EMBARASSED OF IT. tHE LECTURER SHOULD THEN EMPHASISE THAT THE BENEFIT OF SEEING MISTAKES NOW IS THAT THEY WILL VERIY UNLIKELY BE REPEATED IN THE EXAMINATION ONCE CORRECTED.--Dkwikidiscover 13:25, 25 June 2008 (UTC)
