Overview and scope
The objective of this research project is to carry out a meta-analysis of the literature on globalisation of education and its application to the African higher education market. We will examine in particular:
- theoretical models and frameworks for distance education in Africa including the impact of social-cultural learning theories on distance education practice in the African context; and
- policies and frameworks available and required to address the effective integration of information and communication technology (ICT) into teaching and learning activities in the African higher education market.
Project Status
This research project has been concluded on 29th September 2010 and a 28 page literature review was the final product. DEHub will start soon the process of peer reviewing the paper. Thank you Associate Professor Bernice Kotey and Dr Dessalegn Mihret for your excellent work on this paper.
